On one hand, Yili seeks the conformity with international standards. Its strategic cooperation with SGS, LRQA and Intertek has continuously updated Yili's global quality and safety management systems and enhanced its capability in food quality and safety risk control. In the meantime, Yili has set up a flawless Internet-based product traceability procedure; a breeding document for a milk cow will be created after its birth by Yili's milk source base, visualized GPS tracking will be conductconduct throughout the whole process of the transportation of the raw milk,the bar codes labeled on the bags of raw milk will be scanned after it is sent into Yili's milk factory, and the raw milk will be randomly numbered and inspected; in the meantime, Yili has developed the product lots information tracking form for the manufacturing process, the electronic information entry system for crucial links, comprehensive integration system for quality management information, and a national ERP networking system. By doing so, Yili has achieved the thoroughness, timeliness and informatization of production information traceability and exchanged data with national-level platforms.

On the other hand, Yili is the only dairy producer that controls the three major bases of top quality milk resources in Inner Mongolia and northwestern and northeastern parts of China. Yili's top dairy farms ensure the quality and quantity of steady raw-milk supply.But that is not enough. Yili integrates global high-quality mile resources in Europe, Oceania and America to better meet consumers' demands for high-quality dairy products. By the end of 2015, Yili invested a total amount of 12.7 billion yuan for the upgrading and construction of milk resource bases, owned over 2,400 dairy farms, and achieved 100% large-scale and intensified breeding of milk cows for the provision of high-quality raw milk, which ranked first place in the sector. These measures have ensured that Yili is capable of manufacturing high-quality products from the very start.
